Good Job & my New Cookbook
What an amazing weekend. I have a whole new appreciation for the love of team work. Our deli staff of 9 was fabulous. We all worked so well together in making our first Swiss Days ROCK! My shifts started at 6am everyday, We made over 100 wraps a day, there was boxes and boxes of bread, 15 pans of homemade chicken enchiladas, 15 pans of BBQ beef, over 500 corn dogs, 100’s of custom sandwichs and lots of laughs with my friends in between! I did miss going and serving with our ward and thought I could make it on Saturday to make but the store was just way to slammed. The boys served lots of hours for our family, Ben did garbage duty ALL day Saturday that boy could not walk when he came home at 10pm but he loved riding the four wheeler and hanging with his friends. Carson & Blake worked in the scones 2 shifts a day and helped vendors. They even came by the store a few times to see if I needed help. Kim was still hobbling around her knee is in more pain, but she helped me out by keeping our home in order and keeping track of the boys. I did walk through the booths late Saturday night, Anissa and Timpi. We didn’t spend to much but I was so excited to see the Food Nanny and buy her cook book. I had met her before she has been in the store a few times…I love watching her TV show. My kids even watch it with me. We were even shopping in the booths and a man told us his wife bought the book and they joked about it...but it really did change theirs lives and the food is amaizing. JUST WHAT I NEED... I am was so excited about her book that I came home dead beat after working in madness for 11 hours that I started cooking. I made peach cobbler and Anissa got to hang out with us and see all the fun times of having a house full of teens. I have Sunday off and start all over on Monday. I have two of my girls leaving for collage and it makes me sad to see them go because we had a great summer together!
