Disclaimer: Beware of a Crazy lady…who is the single (John is on the road) mother of a Tween & three teens. Who already have so much homework. I am completely overloaded. The biggest factor is that it is Swiss days and I will be working, our first one ever which means all the ordering, stocking of products, scheduling, ordering, preparation is all up to me and I am so worried about pulling it off. We will be making about 400 sandwiches a day, that is 60 pds of meat, 100 loaves of bread…A DAY, this lasts 2 days. I know my dept will be the busiest one. To top it off, I am now sick…could be from lack of sleep at night.
My house is constant chaos I am keeping up with the things like laundry, dishes, but I have a stack of socks growing out of control. The dust bunnies might start a war and the wash maybe clean but it is stacked on the counter in the laundry room for weeks. Including the stack of mail and papers that are sky high on my counter.
I have meetings for church all Weds night, then on Sunday I am teaching the combined Young Womens lesson. Which, I am trying to prepare during all this.
I am not complaining about all the things I need to do…well honestly about my dirty house & being sick I whine about that. As each day gets closer I am actually really excited! There is such a thrill about Swiss Days , the entire little town is full of everyone in our community working hard and working together. The boys were out late last night setting up booths and moving tents with all the men. They love it. I even signed up to work the scone booth on Saturday night after my 9 hour work shift because it is fun to work with your neighbors in service and the time just flies by!
So I have only today Tuesday and Sunday off. I am drinking lots of emergen C and I am going to get my house clean!!! I might also take a nap…this is my first day off since school started and to be home all alone.
